ALABAMA WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

For Couples Who Want To Actually Enjoy Their Wedding Day

I’m Susan, and I have photographed more than 300 weddings across Alabama and beyond.

I’m here for the big stuff, the little stuff, the stuff nobody planned for, and the moments you didn’t even realize were happening.

But here is the thing. I’m not just there to take pictures.

I help keep your day moving. I building the timeline. I know when we need to move, when we need to slow down, and when we need to leave you alone and let the moment happen.

You get to be present.

I’ll worry about the pictures.

REAL MOMENTS. BEAUTIFUL PHOTOGRAPHS. A REAL GOOD TIME. ZERO AWKWARD POSING.

NOW OFFERING WEDDING CONTENT CREATION

We don’t just photograph your wedding, we can also make sure you have behind-the-scenes content to relive it before your gallery even arrives.

YOUR WEDDING DOESN’T NEED TO LOOK LIKE EVERYONE ELSE’S

Group of people dressed in formal attire, possibly at a wedding or event, walking along a brick sidewalk with trees and buildings in the background.

Your wedding should feel like you.

Maybe you’re getting married in a barn outside Anniston, maybe you’re throwing a huge party in Birmingham, maybe you’re getting married in your grandparent’s backyard.

I don’t care if your wedding is perfectly polished or a little bit chaotic.

Actually, I kind of prefer the chaos. ;) Because those are usually the moments you’ll remember.

Not perfection, just YOU!

MORE THAN A PHOTOGRAPHER

I’m your timeline queen, hype woman, your calm when things go sideways, and always the person fixing your train.

After more than 300 weddings, I’ve learned some things:

A wedding photographer who only knows how to take pretty pictures isn’t enough. You need someone who KNOWS weddings. Someone who can find the best locations in thirty seconds, wrangle rogue family members, knows when to step in and when to disappear, and someone who can keep things moving with out making you feel rushed.

That’s where experience matters. And I’ve got plenty of it. ‍ ‍

YOU HIRE A PHOTOGRAPHER.

But you get a wedding-day wing woman. I am an experienced wedding photographer who knows how to make your wedding day run smoothly, keeps you comfortable in front of the camera, and creates photographs that feel like your actual life.

I have been capturing weddings for over 12 years, and I have learned that the best wedding photographs do not happen because everyone stood perfectly still and smiled at the camera. They happen when people are comfortable, when the timeline isn’t falling apart, when you are not worried about what comes next, when you actually enjoy your day.

THE S. WEATHINGTON EXPERIENCE

BEFORE THE WEDDING

We talk. I want to know what matters most to you. I want to know your people, your priorities and the things you absolutely want photographed. Then I build a custom timeline that actually makes sense for you.

DURING THE WEDDING

This is where experience really matters. Things happen, people run late, the timeline changes, and all of that is okay. I am there to fix these issues before you even know about them.

DURING PORTRAITS

I am going to direct and move you, a lot. We will not be spending 45 minutes standing in one spot. We will find beautiful pockets of light, hidden corners full of warmth, and those special places that made you choose the venue. I will give you direction when you need it and let you be yourselves when you don’t need it.

AFTER THE WEDDING

You will receive your sneak peek gallery as soon as possible. I never like to rush the editing process, so I do not set a time frame for this. Around 6 weeks after your wedding you will receive your full gallery with beautifully edited, true to life moments you want to remember, always.
